Pride!

Part of The Yom Haatzmaut Project

Four Israeli accomplishments that I am quite proud of:

1. The cell phone was developed in Israel by Israelis working in the Israeli branch of Motorola, which has its largest development center in Israel. (This is something very near and dear to my heart, as jappy as it sounds I am very attached to my phone and I am very thankful that I have one...)

2. Researchers in Israel developed a new device that directly helps the heart pump blood, an innovation with the potential to save lives among those with heart failure. The new device is synchronized with the camera helps doctors diagnose heart's mechanical operations through a sophisticated system of sensors. (Cuz that is just awesome!)

3. I have never ever felt more at home in any place in the world. It is the only place where I can be walking in the street and find out that my friend is engaged and have the random people I don’t know excited with me just from overhearing the convo.

4. Israel is the only democracy in the whole Middle East. I know its kind of cliché but it is actually a really big deal. I am proud of my friends and family who fight and who have fought to defend that, and I am proud of everyone who supports it. I am proud that we have never backed down and that we know that HKB”H is always on our side. In the end of the day, I don’t have 4 main things that I am proud of... I just have a constant pride in my country and my people.
